Joe Spivey, Zone 9
Joe Spivey, a native of Rogers, Arkansas, earned a BS in Business from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro in 1982, and an MS in Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 1991. He also completed training from the Disney Management Institute, the Army ROTC Leadership Challenge, and the John Brown University Soderquist Institute for Leadership and Ethics.
Mr. Spivey served as Director of Student Life and Academic Support and as an Academic Counselor for the Athletic Department at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and as the Director of Cooperative Education at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Currently, Mr. Spivey works for First National Bank. He has served on the board of directors for the NWACC Foundation, Carroll Electric Cooperative, St. Mary's Hospital, Rogers Baseball Association, Friends of Hobbs State Park, Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce, Subiaco Academy, Rogers Chapter Habitat for Humanity, and the Benton County United Way. He is a past president of the Rogers Rotary Club and is currently serving as a Blue & Gold Selection Officer for the U.S. Naval Academy.
Mr. Spivey and his wife Suzanne have two children.
He was elected to a six-year term on the NorthWest Arkansas Community College Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2009, after serving a three-year appointment by Governor Huckabee.
