NWACC’s Evelyn E. Jorgenson Integrated Design Lab (IDL) holds courses in design, art and construction, as well as a dedicated makerspace for collaboration and testing design ideas.

The IDL offers opportunities to gain valuable creative and technical skills in drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, construction and three-dimensional design media such as wood and metal, as well as digital tools of design, fabrication and art making.

Students

Use lab space to build an educational foundation in artistic creativity, design-thinking principles, construction methods, and business practices while earning a Technical Certificate in Integrated Design.

Community

As part of NWACC's efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Northwest Arkansas, the college has opened design spaces in the IDL to community members. The lab gives local artists, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, tinkerers and makers access to top-quality equipment and exceptional design and fabrication spaces.

How to use the IDL:

• Submit a project proposal form detailing equipment, space and material needs and project timeline.
• Complete general safety and specialized equipment training where needed before project work begins.
