Teacher and Students Around Devices on Table

By taking NWACC's physics courses, you'll study matter and energy and the interaction between them, and practice asking fundamental questions and answering them through observations, experiments, measurements and mathematical analysis.

Physics explores the fundamental forces of the universe and how they interact with matter; from galaxies and planets to atoms and quarks and everything in between. All other natural sciences stem from physics.

Physics courses can be transferred to a four-year institution and satisfy general education requirements. Connect with your academic advisor for more details.

By pursuing an education in physics, you may find employment opportunities as a nuclear physicist, astronomer, meteorologist, data scientist, optical engineer, quantitative research analyst, health physicist and others.
