Diagnostic Medical Sonography

By participating in NWACC's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program partnership with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), you'll be prepared to become a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), an imaging health care professional.

Diagnostic medical sonography is a specialized, non-invasive technique that utilizes high frequency ultrasound waves with detectors and displays to produce diagnostic images of internal organs and structures.

You can complete your prerequisite diagnostic medical sonography coursework at NWACC and then apply to UAMS to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
