Baking and Pastry Arts

Three female culinary students holdings plates of tarts

Brightwater’s Baking and Pastry Arts program equips you with the foundation you need to confidently build your skill set. With a focus on old-world methods and modernist techniques, you'll exercise an inquiry-based approach to better understand the science, technique, precision and creativity behind pastry and baking arts.

Brightwater's state-of-the-art equipment, such as a grain mill, chocolate tempering machine, industrial ice cream maker, and four steam-injected deck ovens, will give you the true experience of making creations from scratch.

Whether your goal is to master patisserie, artisanal bread baking, cake decorating or confectionary, you'll emerge from the program with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in careers such as a pastry chef, bakery owner, cake decorator, food stylist and others.
