All new students are required to meet with an advisor in order to register for classes for most programs of study.  All other students, we highly recommend you meet with an advisor to ensure you are taking the correct course or that you are on track for your educational goals.

Program Advising

Current students who are on a specific degree path in a particular program should meet with their program advisor each semester to ensure you are on the right educational path.

Why Meet With an Advisor?

  • Advisors are aware of the many resources available on campus: academic, personal, and professional.
  • Advisors can show you how to make sure you are taking the correct courses in the correct order for your NWACC degree and when you transfer if you plan to continue your education after community college.
  • Advisors can show you how to monitor your degree progress so you can take the most relevant courses and those that you find most interesting.
  • Advisors can help you transfer to another college or university to complete your education.
